Whilst we are an online business that creates software, content managed IT systems, e-commerce systems and websites – the printer is still used in our office environment and I know we are not alone.

 

Printers are a valuable tool and often essential in different business environments. But did you know that Australians throw away more than 18 million printer cartridges every year? This amounts to 5,000 tonnes of material, including laser toner cartridges, inkjet cartridges, photocopier toner bottles and drums, that will eventually end up in landfill. From here they break apart and the potential to contaminate groundwater and the environment.
